WWE Issues Statement On Joel Simon's Passing, Michael Tarver Singing Gospel

— WWE issued the following statement regarding the passing of former WWE Films President Joel Simon:

WWE is saddened to learn of the passing of former WWE Films President Joel Simon. Joel launched what is now known as WWE Studios in 2002 and was integral in expanding WWE into the motion picture business. As head of WWE Films, Joel produced The Marine, The Condemned and See No Evil. The company sends its sincerest condolences to his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

— Former WWE star Michael Tarver, now going under his real name Tyrone Evans, is crossing over to the world of gospel music. He stated on Twitter that he would be sharing his life and time with WWE on tracks from his upcoming album, The Armor of God.

The founding Nexus member sang gospel music last night at Crossover Church in Tampa, Florida.

— WWE will be donating Mattel action figures and other company merchandise to Japan as part of the “Stand Up For Tohoku” national disaster relief efforts.
