WWE & Coachman Issue a Statement, Error During Raw, Bobby Fish

As reported last night, Raw announcer Jonathan Coachman was just recently named in a lawsuit against ESPN as one of several different employees who allegedly sexually harassed their female coworkers. No action has been taken by WWE yet over the claims, but the company put out this statement earlier today: “We take these matters very seriously and are investigating.” Coachman himself has since responded to the allegations by denying that any wrongdoing took place between himself and his colleagues during his time working for ESPN. Jonathan Coachman’s full statement on the allegation was posted on his Twitter account and can be read below:
“I will address this only once because I am seething today. In 21 years of being a PROFESSIONAL I have never been more offended in my life. I, in my 9 years, I can count on one hand the amount of times I interacted with anyone other than a co-anchor. To allow someone to spread vicious lies and flat out fabrications is not ok and it’s time someone stood up for themselves. @jemelehill addressed her lie last night. I am not a part of this lawsuit because I have never done anything wrong. My reputation speaks for itself and anyone that has ever worked with me will back that up. I am also offended that someone can dangerously throw peoples names into something for the clear attempt at getting headlines. This the only time I will address this because I am not a part of this lawsuit. My heart goes out to anyone falsely accused of anything. Trust me it doesn’t feel good. But most of you have been incredible and supportive. Onward and upward.”
Fans who tuned in for Monday Night Raw last night may have caught the news that a match for the Intercontinental Championship was announced for WrestleMania. The Miz will be defending the title against Finn Balor and Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat match at the event. Sounds good, right? Well, the only problem is that the USA Network took Raw off the air in some parts of the country after the match was announced. The show was taken off as USA Network’s newest series, Unsolved, began to air. Some fans missed the promo between Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns as a result, but the USA Network eventually realized their mistake and switched the live feed back to the segment while it was still going on.

The Undisputed Era are taking over the NXT shows more and more each week, and it was just announced that the winner of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament will face Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly for the NXT Tag Team Championships at NXT Takeover: New Orleans during WrestleMania weekend. Unfortunately, it was reported recently that Fish appeared to suffer a knee injury and had to be helped to the back after his match at an NXT live event. An update was provided on Wrestling Observer Radio, and it sounds like the injury may be worse than originally believed. Fish won’t be wrestling anytime soon and he may have to miss the Takeover show in April. The status on Bobby Fish and the NXT Tag Team Championship match at Takeover is expected to be addressed during NXT’s television tapings on Wednesday.
