WWE Call Ups from NXT are Expected to be Happening Imminently

NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III featured a ton of star-making performances during the show. At one point, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle and Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan were shown watching the show in the arena. According to Pro Wrestling Sheet’s Ryan Satin, the intended effect for them being there was that they were both “scouting” talent to come up to the main roster. Satin, Dave Meltzer, and Bryan Alvarez have all said that Bobby Roode will almost definitely be making his main roster debut soon as WWE officials are very high on him. Roode lost his NXT Championship in the main event of the show last night. He could be finishing his feuds with Drew McIntyre and Roderick Strong first before he shows up on either Raw or Smackdown.
Asuka is also expected to be joining the main roster sooner rather than later. The Wrestling Observer Radio’s Meltzer and Alvarez assume that she will be joining either Raw or Smackdown in due time. Asuka defeated Ember Moon to retain her undefeated streak and NXT Women’s Championship last night, and she may be called up to the main roster undefeated. The Authors of Pain lost the NXT Tag Team Championships last night, and it seems possible that they could also be getting to call to join one of the two main shows very soon, but it is unknown if Paul Ellering will be involved due to Vince McMahon’s hatred of wrestlers having managers.
What some may not have noticed during the brief shot of Angle and Bryan appearing at Takeover last night was all of the wrestlers who surrounded them. NXT Superstars Peyton Royce, Billie Kay, and No Way Jose were all sitting near the two GMs. It is believed that all three of these superstars will be joining the main rosters as well. No news about the rumored post-SummerSlam Superstar Shakeup has been discussed in a while, but it is still very possible that these NXT wrestlers will be joining the two main shows imminently. It was also reported recently that former WWE star Shelton Benjamin has re-signed with the company, he is rumored to be joining Smackdown very soon as well.
