First let´s speak about the favorites. In Pool A Serbia should be the team with zero lost after the 3 pool games. World League winners from Russia are the no.1 favorite of pool B. The situation in Pool C is in favor of Italy, but we can´t forget young French team. The most interesting will be Pool D. Bulgaria, Poland and Germany could be all the winners of their pool.

Two years ago Poland was celebrating the gold medals. France finished second while Bulgaria beat Russia in the bronze medal match.

First game of European volleyball championship 2011 will take place on September 10, with the Playoffs and quarterfinals to be then played in Vienna and Karlovy Vary. The final stage of the competition will be in Vienna.
