Well-Mannered Robber Thanks Teller, Customers After Bank Heist

HOUSTON – The FBI Violent Crime Task Force is looking for a bank robber they’ve dubbed “Mr. Manners of Montrose.” Officials said he robbed an IBC Bank in Houston’s Montrose neighborhood Monday.

The armed robbery occurred at approximately 3:40 p.m. at the IBC Bank located at 3939 Montrose Boulevard in southwest Houston.

Witnesses said the robber came into the IBC Bank, approached the bank teller and demanded money at gunpoint. The robber fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities said.

While leaving the bank, witnesses said he thanked bank employees and customers and told them to “have a good day.”

He was last seen heading east on Sul Ross Street. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.
Investigators say minutes before robbing the IBC Bank, the suspect also robbed the CVS store located at 1003 Richmond Avenue.

The robber is described as a white male in his 20s with an athletic build, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches, wearing a gray t-shirt, gray pants and a baseball cap turned backward.

Investigators believe he may have a tattoo on his left forearm that is visible in the surveillance photos.
