Video shows victim begging cops to watch brutal Kareem Hunt footage

Video shows the woman attacked by football star Kareem Hunt pleading with officers to watch the surveillance footage of the violent blitz — only to get shut down by the cops.

Police body-camera footage obtained by TMZ shows the woman telling cops she wanted to press charges after the melee in a Cleveland hotel in February. But the officers told her their hands were tied.

“We’re going to generate a report but as far [as] looking at video or anything like that technically, it has to be subpoenaed,” an officer can be heard telling the dismayed woman, identified by Cleveland.com as Abigail Ottinger, 19.

Responding cops interviewed Hunt but didn’t arrest him. Authorities ended up obtaining the video, but prosecutors elected not to charge Hunt, according to TMZ.

Hunt was cut by the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday hours after video of the attack was released. The running back also has been placed on the commissioner’s exempt list by the NFL, meaning he can’t practice, place or attend games while the league investigates.

“That person in that video did not deserve that,” Hunt told ESPN on Sunday in his first comments since the video’s publication. “I didn’t mean to hurt anybody or anything like that. It’s really tough because I feel like I let a lot of people down.”

The video of the attack shows Hunt shoving Ottinger, then being restrained before she slaps at him. Hunt then storms into a man who collides with the woman, sending both crashing to the floor. Hunt then kicks the woman as she’s on the ground.
