Video shows moment man guns down innocent bystander walking his dog

Surveillance video released on Wednesday shows the moment that a gunman with a rifle opened fire on a rival in Manhattan and missed — instead fatally shooting an innocent bystander walking his dog, sources said.

The suspect can be seen pointing his rifle at the head of his intended target as the man walks by in Harlem on Monday morning, according to police sources.

The gunman tries to fire at the rival but his rifle apparently jams and the man flees the scene, the sources said.

As the intended target leaves the scene the gunman fires one more time, missing his rival and striking 40-year-old Winston McKay.

The victim was rushed to Harlem Hospital and declared dead a short time later.

Cops were searching for the man with the rifle on Wednesday.
