Video: Dana White Says Brock Lesnar Is Still Under Contract To The UFC

While talking with members of the MMA media during UFC 223: Nurmagomedov vs. Iaquinta weekend, UFC President Dana White made some interesting comments regarding WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.

According to the UFC boss man, “The Beast Incarnate” is still under contract to the UFC, and will simply have to jump back into the USADA pool once he finishes up business with WWE, which is expected to take place tonight at WrestleMania 34.

White was asked if it is 100-percent guaranteed that Lesnar will sign with the UFC and return after tonight’s big WWE pay-per-view in New Orleans.

“No, that’s not one-hundred percent, I mean, he’s still under contract with the UFC, but we have not signed him to a fight,” White said. “He’s still under contract with us, he still has fights on his deal. He just has to get into the USADA pool.”

After the UFC 223 PPV, at the post-fight press conference, White was again asked about Lesnar’s contract status. When asked if he could clarify how Lesnar is under contract to both UFC and WWE, White pointed out that Lesnar will still under contract with the UFC, but “he retired from UFC. [He] retired from MMA.”

White was then asked if the deal Lesnar signed back at UFC 200, which is the contract he would still be under with that company, was for multiple fights.

“I think so, I don’t remember exactly,” said White. “But yeah, Brock still has a contract with us.”

Eventually, White outright stated that Lesnar is itching to get back into the Octagon and compete again.

“He wants to come back, yeah,” said White.
