Update on The Revival, Vince to Appear on SD, Lee Leaves PWG

Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson both reportedly asked for their WWE releases earlier this week. Pro Wrestling Sheet has just obtained some additional details relating to the rumors surrounding The Revival. According to those reports, the reason why both of them asked for their releases is because they feel that the entire tag team division in WWE is being disrespected right now. They reportedly pointed to The Club’s position, AOP disappearing from TV, and Bobby Roode & Chad Gable being treated as afterthoughts as examples of the company not caring about its tag team division. The belief is that they were both denied their requests for a release. Both men sill reportedly have “a decent amount of time” left on their current WWE contracts.
Vince McMahon’s next appearance on WWE programming has just been announced. WWE has been announcing the lineup for this week’s SmackDown today, which includes a 2-out-of-3 falls match between Rey Mysterio and Andrade, among other segments so far. The company has just also confirmed that Vince McMahon will appear live for a segment involving WWE Champion Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles. This Tuesday’s SmackDown will serve as the final edition of the show before Styles and Bryan face each other at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, so it will be interesting to see what happens when these three go face to face. It all takes place at the INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas on Tuesday night.
Independent wrestling standout Trevor Lee is said to be on his way to WWE imminently. Lee signing with WWE has been rumored for weeks now, and he has been wrapping up his final commitments on the independent circuit as of late. Last night, Lee competed for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla for the final time ever. He took on Jeff Cobb for the PWG title in the main event of the show, but he was unable to win the championship. After the match came to an end, Lee grabbed a microphone and addressed the crowd. He thanked the audience and said farewell to PWG, where he has competed and made a name for himself over the years. Expect to see Trevor Lee make his official NXT debut at some point very soon.
