Lucha Underground is often cited as one of the most entertaining wrestling shows on television today. The third season of the show is just about ready to wrap up, but no news on a fourth season has been released by officials working on the show or the El Rey Network. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter now reports that the show is being shopped around to other networks at the moment. Some in management are ready to pull the plug on the show over the lack of financial revenue, but others believe it just needs more exposure in order to catch on. Officials are hopeful to get the show on a larger network that can pay for the same production costs that the show currently has.
PWInsider claims that the messy lawsuit involving FloSports and WWN Live has yet to actually be served. The lawsuit was first reported over a month ago, but nothing has actually taken shape thus far. FloSports claims that WWN provided false information in order to drive up prices for them a while back. IPW-UK recently announced that they have severed all ties with FloSports. Also, Gabe Sapolsky released an email to his talent recently, and he informed them that he was looking for alternative ways of airing shows going forward. He specifically said in his email that none of the shows will be coming over to the WWE Network for right now.
One of the most controversial wrestlers today is Alberto El Patron (formerly known as Alberto Del Rio in WWE.) Patron was in the news earlier this year when an incident in an Orlando airport with his fiancee Paige caused him to be suspended from Global Force Wrestling/Impact Wrestling. He was stripped of the GFW Championship, and though he has been cleared of any wrongdoing in the airport incident, he still remains suspended. Impact recently announced that Patron will finally be returning to television very soon. As has been rumored for months now, Patron is going to be making his return during the Bound for Glory pay-per-view in Ottawa next month.
