– UFC has offered undefeated light heavyweight contender Lyoto Machida a fight with “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” Tito Ortiz. Machida has reportedly accepted the offer, but no word yet from Ortiz. Despite his unwhelming performances as of late, Tito Ortiz remains one of UFC’s top drawing stars. He currently has 1 fight left on his UFC contract. He recently told reporters that he’ll be fighting on Cinqo de Mayo (May 5th) and then plans to pursue an acting career.

– Despite the fact that Randy Couture has declared that he’s done with UFC, the company has not stripped him of the Heavyweight title. UFC has a legal reason for not taking Couture’s belt – Couture’s contract says that as long as he is the champion, he can’t fight for another organization. There is a provision in the contract for retiring, however retiring means you can’t fight for another organization.

– Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will be appearing in the upcoming horror film “Midnight Meat Train”. Based on Clive Barker’s short story of the same title, Midnight Meat Train is about a subway killer and co-stars Brooke Shields.
