Elon Musk, who has been on a cost-cutting spree since the acquisition of Twitter, has reportedly shut down two of the three India offices of the microblogging company.
According to a report by Bloomberg, Twitter has closed its offices in New Delhi and Mumbai, leaving it with just one in Bengaluru.

Mostly engineers in Bengaluru to work from office
The staff there have reportedly been asked to work from home, while those based in Bengaluru — mostly engineers will continue to work from the office.
According to CNBC-TV18, Twitter has shut down its Mumbai and New Delhi offices, with only three employees remaining in the social media giant’s India team.
The three people in Twitter’s India team include the country lead and two others covering the north and east and south and west regions.
90 per cent of layoffs during first round of job cuts
It should be noted that around 90 per cent of the Twitter India staff were laid off by Musk during the first round of job cuts he had announced days after the controversial takeover.
As per the new IT Rules, Twitter, like other social media platforms, is mandated to have a chief compliance officer, nodal officer and resident grievance officer for India.

To make Twitter profitable, Musk, who acquired it for $44 billion, has been cutting expenses by firing staff, reducing benefits to those remaining and shutting down offices worldwide.
Twitter failed to pay rent for San Francisco HQ
Twitter has failed to pay millions of dollars in rent for its San Francisco headquarters and London offices and even auctioned off everything from bird statues to espresso machines to raise money.
Last month, the company ordered at least a dozen more job cuts in Dublin and Singapore offices as part of broader cost-cutting measures at Twitter that saw layoffs of about 3,700 employees in early November.
