‘The Squad’ just can’t stop slamming Pelosi
Even with President Trump still throwing hanging fastballs down the middle of the plate, “the Squad” just can’t resist slamming Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
On Wednesday, Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich), Ilhan Omar (D-Minn) and Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass) sat down with Gayle King on CBS’ “This Morning.” The president had kept up his Twitter attacks the day before, but the Democratic women couldn’t resist working their earlier gripe against a woman who outranks them in age and power.
King raised the issue by asking if they’d been in touch with Pelosi. AOC’s imperious reply: “Our teams are in communication.”

Tlaib then jumped in to imply that the top Democrat in Washington should be seeking an audience with them: “AOC is the new member . . . Pelosi is the speaker of the House. She can ask for a meeting to sit down with us for clarification.”
Then she addressed Pelosi directly: “Acknowledge the fact that we are women of color, so when you do single us out, be aware of that and what you’re doing, especially because some of us are getting death threats, because some of us are being singled out because of our backgrounds, because of our experiences and so forth.”
This is ridiculous: The four singled themselves out by how they reacted to Pelosi’s “come to me first” comments about their race-baiting attacks on Democrats who voted for the emergency border-funding bill two weeks ago. The speaker is not forcing them to have press conferences or go on Twitter fits.
It’s a funny thing to go on national TV to complain about getting too much attention.
