Frances Valentine, 78 Main St., Sag Harbor
Just in time for summer, Frances Valentine is opening a Sag Harbor pop-up, selling everything from Polaroid cameras to peacock embroidered caftans ($245), colorful beaded bracelets ($45 to $95), shell necklaces ($28 to $325) and canvas sun hats ($58 to $68), all inspired by the late Kate Spade, who founded Frances Valentine with her husband, Andy Spade, and their friend Elyce Arons. Frances Valentine shares space with SagTown Coffee, and opens early, at 8 a.m., so you can caffeinate and shop before your first swim.
Wildside, 85 Main St., Sag Harbor
With the Memorial Day opening of WildSide, Sag Harbor is getting a dose of St. Barts. An outpost of the Caribbean store (which also has shops in Tulum, Mexico, and San Juan, Puerto Rico), this 550-square-foot boutique specializes in one-of-a-kind tulle dresses from the South of France ($265 to $1500), macramé Italian beach coverups ($300 to $900) and a collection of beaded bags from the whimsical House of Mua Mua (from $285). Talk about beach chic.
Goldie, 127 Main St., Sag Harbor
The rebranded Sag Harbor store from cult T-shirt brand Goldie is a low-key fashionista’s paradise. Owner Debbie Rudoy’s perfect layering tees and soft ribbed dresses ($70 to $125) are the main lure, but Rudoy also carries sweaters, outerwear and accessories from designers like A.L.C., Fiorentini + Baker and Il Bisonte. As for denim, there’s loads of it: Rudoy notes that she took the space over from Lifestyle, which previously had the East End’s largest selection of fashion denim.
Apiece Apart, 58 Newtown Lane, East Hampton
The ultimate in luxurious mix-and-match women’s separates, Apiece Apart has just opened an 800-square-foot East Hampton store, decked out with midcentury furniture and Noguchi lighting fixtures. In addition to favorites like jumpsuits, T-shirts and dresses, the Hamptons outpost will also stock exclusive beach accessories and sweatshirts. Indeed, there’s something for everyone: like other Apiece Apart locations, the shop will carry extended sizes, from double-zero to 20 ($145 to $595).
