The Crafted Scone Rapidly Becoming A Go-To Breakfast Spot In Temecula

TEMECULA, CA —One of Temecula’s newest breakfast spots has made a fan out of Patch. With their first shop flourishing in Murrieta’s old town location, they now operate in Temecula, as well. Having just held a hiring fair, it looks like the owners are preparing to serve even more scratch-baked goodness, from scones to sconewiches (yes, that’s a thing), and from toasts to hearty casseroles.

This is our new go-to spot for breakfast.

We loved their careful attention to the coffee and teas, each of which can be perfectly paired with the rotating flavors of flaky scones made with owner Amanda’s proprietary recipe.

Patch visited the Temecula location on our dime to try the scones, and learned there was much more behind the glass bakery case.

The shop welcomes guests in the off-the-beaten-path Bel Villagio shopping area between Ring Road and Margarita Road in the Promenade Temecula Shopping Center. Behind the doors, you’ll find delectable scones in both sweet and savory flavors. All are made fresh daily and a barista is more than happy to create any number of teas and coffee drinks.

Walking inside Temecula’s Crafted Scone is a little like entering your best friend’s cozy kitchen. An aura of welcome invited us inside with on-point design, from the fireplace facade to the comfy chairs underneath the windows.

The air wafts with the scents of fresh biscuits baking. Behind the glass case, scones and casseroles sit in various flavors. We chose the vanilla bean scones and lattes, which did not disappoint.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Inside, the table space was ample and a few cozy nooks would be perfect for remote work or hanging out with a good book. For many, it has become an ideal meet-up spot for residents in the months since opening.

The Crafted Scone recently held a successful Cars and Coffee event, inviting both gearheads and scone lovers to hang out together on the outdoor patio.

If you’ve never heard of a sconewich? We ask you to give one a try. Sweet or savory, what’s your pleasure?

The restaurant’s outdoor patio is frequently full most days when the weather is warm and sunny, so we’ve heard. Be sure to stake out your seat, and let us know when you go!
