SmackDown Live Ratings Dip Compared to Last Year

The first SmackDown Live after WrestleMania 35 from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn garnered 2.141 million viewers. The Blue Brand had 2.952 million viewers in its first episode after WrestleMania 34, which means this year’s edition declined 27% from year to year. RAW also experienced a similar drop this year, despite a surprise appearance by The Undertaker and shocking ambushes from Lars Sullivan and Lacey Evans. 
SmackDown Live featured a six-man tag match between The New Day and The Bar with Drew McIntyre in the main event. The episode also featured The Hardy Boyz winning the SmackDown Tag Team Championship belts from The Usos. One night after attacking Kurt Angle on Raw, Sullivan took out the Hardy Boyz after their victory. Evans also ambushed RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch for the second night in a row.
