Smackdown Live Leads Tuesday Night Cable Ratings Despite Viewership Drop Heading into SummerSlam

The 8/7 edition of WWE Smackdown Live drew an estimated 2.197 million viewers, less than two weeks out from the company’s second biggest pay-per-view event of the year, WWE SummerSlam.

This week’s show saw the lowest score of the last four weeks, and was down approximately 8.5% from  7/31, but the drop was expected given that last week’s show drew the biggest number since the post-WrestleMania episodes. They are still well within the average range for this summer’s numbers.

In terms of competition, America’s Got Talent did an impressive 11.04 million, with NCIS drawing 5.26 in the 8PM slot for network television. Smackdown Live actually led the night for cable for the key demographic, followed closely by Below Deck: Mediterranean on Bravo, and WWE’s own Miz & Mrs. on the USA Network which came in third for the night.
