After successfully retaining his Universal Championship this Sunday night at WWE Stomping Grounds, Seth Rollins took to social media to “double down” on his earlier claims that WWE provided the “Best pro wrestling on the planet.”
The Kingslayer put down challenger Baron Corbin for the second time in as many weeks, after his real-life girlfriend and Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch came to the rescue, attacking special guest referee Lacey Evans after the “Sassy Southern Belle” dropped the champ with a stone cold low blow.
Rollins wrote on Twitter challenging the world, “Find anyone else alive who does what I do as well as I do it as often as I do it. Ya can’t.” It didn’t take long for an interesting name from across the ocean to strike back, as New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay simply fired back, “I’m alive.”.
The UK star recently announced his move to Japan and will be competing in the upcoming G1 Climax tournament for the first time, and is many people’s front-runner for the current Wrestler of the Year following an incredible set of WrestleMania weekend matches, and a stellar showing in the Best of the Super Juniors tournament.
