San Diego mom naps while toddler dies in hot car
A 2-year-old girl died when her mother left her in a hot car — while she napped inside their house in San Diego, according to reports.
The mother called 911 when she woke up from her nap after 12:30 p.m. Monday and couldn’t find her daughter, KUSI-TV reported.

The mother’s phone line went dead, and when she called back told the police dispatcher that she found the girl in her vehicle parked in the driveway — and she was not breathing.
Paramedics tried to revive the toddler but she was later pronounced dead at the scene.

It is not known if the mother will face criminal charges.
Last month, a Rockland County man was charged with manslaughter after leaving his 1-year-old twins in his car while he went to work in the Bronx.
