PSG set to pounce on PSV Eindhoven winger Johan Bakayoko

According to a recent report from Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato, PSG are hot on the tails of PSV Eindhoven as they look to secure the signature of their 19-year-old winger Johan Bakayoko. PSV have declined Les Parisiens‘ first offer, but PSG have told the player’s representatives to expect a second offer before the close of the transfer window tomorrow.

With the departure of Pablo Sarabia to Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier in January, PSG have explored several attacking options to replace the 30-year-old Spaniard. The names of Rayan Cherki (Olympique Lyonnais) and Malcom (Zenit Saint-Petersburg) have been regularly identified as key targets of Christophe Galtier, but the time in which to secure a deal that appeases either club is fast nearing its end.

Instead, the Ligue 1 leaders look to the Dutch league for an exciting talent in the shape of Johan Bakayoko. Since the beginning of his fledgling career, the Belgian youth international has registered 33 goals and 18 assists across 92 appearances in all competitions.
