PLEASANTON, CA — Amador Valley High School alumnus Ishmeet Dhillon was one of 20 young people around the country named a National Youth and Young Adult Ambassador by the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids.
This marks the third time that Dhillon, 18, has been named an ambassador. She will work with the campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of tobacco products and advocate for effective policies to prevent youth tobacco use.

Tobacco use is the number one cause of preventable death in the United States, and kills over 480,000 Americans each year. A recent government survey revealed that over 1.6 million middle and high school students use e-cigarettes, and nearly 40% of them vape frequently or daily.
