Mohamed Camara – 4 – Once again Monaco went down to 10-men early in a Ligue 1 encounter. This time it was Camara who received the red. Arguments can be made on both sides as to whether it was merited, but once given, it was never going to be overturned. Although there was no intent from Camara, his studs went down the side of Khaoui, and the subsequent red forced Clement to re-evalute his plans.
Takumi Minamino – 5 – One of those to make way after the Camara red card. He did nothing wrong in the game, but nor did he get the time to impose himself on the encounter. He was substituted for the more defensively proficient Diatta before the 20-minute mark.
Breel Embolo – 7 – He plays the role of target man perfectly. Forced to be a lone striker already on numerous occasions this season, he has risen to the occasion on each occasion. Given the numerical disadvantage, Monaco struggled to retain possession, but Embolo gave them an outball, and he used his physique to bring others into play. He used his body particularly well to draw the penalty, and despite missing the initial spot-kick, he made no mistake with the folow-up.

Wissam Ben Yedder – 5 – Like Minamino, he was subbed early-on. Given the gamestate, Monaco were in need of a target man, who could bring the ball down, hold it, and bring others into paly. Quite simply, Ben Yedder is not that player. The Frenchman is running out of opportunities to impress Didier Deschamps ahead of the World Cup.

Komnen Andrić – 7 – He only had one shot, but that’s all he needed. On the rebound, he finished emphatically past Nübel to level the scores before being replaced in the 72nd minute.
