Odell Beckham Jr. fighting through a bum quad

Odell Beckham Jr. previously had not been officially listed on the Giants’ injury report, but the star receiver has been nursing a bruised quad for the past two weeks.

Beckham was limited in practice Friday because of the contusion — suffered on the final play against Philadelphia on Nov. 25 — but he’s expected to play Sunday against Washington.

“Just gave him a little time. He’s gonna be fine. He’s playing,” Giants coach Pat Shurmur said. “He’s got a quad bruise that’s been lingering. Remember the last play against Philly? When he got leg-whipped?”

On the final snap in the Giants’ 25-22 loss to the Eagles, Eli Manning completed a pass to Sterling Shepard. He then flipped the ball to Beckham, who appeared to be tripped by Eagles linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill, but no penalty was called.

Tight end Evan Engram (hamstring) is expected to return to the lineup Sunday after missing the previous two games. Linebackers Tae Davis (ankle) and B.J. Goodson (neck/foot) have been listed as questionable.

“I’m ready to ride,” Engram said. “I had a good week and I was smart with it and on Sunday it’s gonna be ready to go.”

Engram, the Giants’ first-round pick in 2017, hopes to finish strong after enduring a poor and injury-plagued sophomore season, with just 23 catches for 257 yards and two touchdowns in seven appearances.

“That’s really important, not even for myself but for the team,” Engram said. “It’s definitely important to me that I do my job and have a helping hand in doing that.”

Mark Sanchez still answering for Buttfumble in New York return

Mark Sanchez is a starting NFL quarterback again, so of…

Mark Sanchez started 10 games for the Eagles in 2014 and ’15, when Shurmur was the offensive coordinator in Philadelphia. The former Jet will start for Washington this week against Shurmur’s Giants.

“I have a memory bank of what he’s good at, and that’s what I told the defense, that these are the things he’s really good at, so we have to be sharp,” Shurmur said. “That helps me, because I’ve worked with him intimately. I’ve seen the way he works, I know he’s won a lot of games and I have that memory of Mark.

“And then what you do is watch. Each system’s different, so you watch how they’re using him in their system and what they’re asking him to do. We have to defend the Redskins. But you’re always aware of the people that are involved.”
