Like in the Batman movies, the Joker isn’t bringing much joy to Gotham these days, but Odell Beckham Jr. at least made one fan in Philadelphia smile.
A fan of the Joker character in the Batman series, the Giants star has worn custom-made Joker cleats and gloves, and now he has his own Joker cards that he carries with him on Sundays.
He even handed one out to a young Eagles fan during Sunday’s Giants loss. Perhaps he was going to use it as a prop for a touchdown, but he didn’t get in the end zone, catching five passes for 85 yards in the 25-22 setback.
Beckham may have shown his dark side after the loss, when he questioned why the Giants weren’t more aggressive going after the Eagles’ injury-depleted secondary.
“Coming in knowing they’ve struggled in the secondary, personally I would’ve loved to attack them,” Beckham said. “But it wasn’t in the game plan. … I don’t know. I don’t call the plays.”
