NXT Tournament Returning, NXT Team Reunites, SD Stars Now Dating

NXT is back in Full Sail University tonight taping upcoming episodes of NXT. These episodes will be playing on the WWE Network during the weeks leading up WrestleMania 35, be warned that there are some MAJOR SPOILERS up ahead. During the tapings, it was announced that the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament will be coming back. This marks the fourth edition of the tournament, which has been won by Finn Balor & Samoa Joe, The Authors of Pain, and The Undisputed Era in the past. The tournament was established back in 2015 to celebrate and honor the achievements of Dusty Rhodes after he passed away earlier that year. Most of the teams for the tournament have been confirmed already as well.

One of the teams that will be involved in this year’s tournament is sure to get fans buzzing. After reuniting in tag team matches during Raw and SmackDown this week, fans in attendance for the tapings have said that Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa agreed to reunite as #DIY for the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic this year. This would seem to guarantee that they will continue to wrestle for NXT at least until the tournament is over. Other teams that have been announced for the tournament include The Street Profits, Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch, The Undisputed Era, Ricochet & Aleister Black, Moustache Mountain, and Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner. Expect to see the tag team tournament officially return onscreen during a future episode of NXT.

There appears to be a new couple in WWE right now and this one comes from the SmackDown roster. Following some speculation from fans online, it has been confirmed that Charlotte Flair and Andrade are now involved in a romantic relationship. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com said that the rumors were not only true but that the two wrestlers have been seeing each other for about a month now. After the news went public, Charlotte commented on the matter but did not outright deny the reports. According to Ringside News, the two have not been hiding their relationship backstage either. Charlotte is currently set to main event WrestleMania 35 against Ronda Rousey with Becky Lynch possibly joining the match soon as well.
