Novak Djokovic is the Australian Open favorite, says Annabel Croft

In an interview to Express the TV presenter commented on the upcoming Australian Open match between Novak Djokovic and Denis Shapovalov who will face each other on Saturday during the day session.

Croft thinks Djokovic started his run in Melbourne very well and that the Serb will not really struggle against the 19-year-old Canadian. He looks really clinical to me, really in control. He seems to be saving energy and looking really good.

He loves Australia and there is something about this place that brings out the best in him. For me, he is the favourite for the title and will be very tough to beat, said Croft. However, Croft also praised Shapovalovs potential: He is another youngster who I think is fantastic.

I commentated on one of his matches earlier in the week and oh my goodness, this guy has got like a light shining on him. He seems like his is kind of surfing or skateboarding on centre court, he has got that charisma. He has got a great look about him and he is so relaxed.

He has the one of the most beautiful single-handed backhands you will ever see. He will literally bring a crowd to their feet. I love watching him play and it is going to be interesting. But I think Djokovic is way more experienced but we will see.
