Nipah Virus Scare Forces Kerala To Shut Schools, Colleges Till June 12

The deadly Nipah virus has forced the state authorities to close down schools and colleges in Kerala’s Kozikhode.

The virus has claimed 16 lives so far in Kerala and is suspected to enter its second stage in the district on Saturday, reported ANI.

The educational institutions were earlier schedule to re-open on June 5, however, with more deaths being reported in Wayanad, Kannur and Malappuram, besides Kozhikode, the government has decided to extend the date to June 15.
