Nick Kyrgios: 'Bernard Tomic went through rough times'

believes that is a unique player. A lot has been said about their relationship, but both of them respect each other and in an interview during the Kooyong Classic last week, Kyrgios said he is amazed at Tomics game and personality.

I dont think theres ever been a player like BT, the 23-year-old said. Hes extremely talented, and Im always hoping that he puts in the hard yards because his games so incredibly hard to play against.

Its just good to see him back out here and enjoying himself again. I know he was going through some rough times, but he won a title last year and it looks like hes carrying a bit of momentum, so its good to see.

On his mindset for the rest of 2019, Kyrgios added: Im still in the tournament. I got doubles tomorrow. All my focus goes in there. Im going to come out there, just bluff my way through a doubles match, see how it goes.

Obviously playing with one of my best mates again, which is pretty special. I know this means a lot to him, being part of the Australian Open, playing doubles. Thats all Im focusing on. Its going to be a lot of fun.

I dont know what Im going to do yet honestly. Obviously, Id like to play well. Right now Im just focusing on the doubles, I guess. ALSO READ: Rafael Nadal: Worse players than David Ferrer won a Grand Slam title
