More on Anthem/Hardys “Broken” Battle and Why WWE is Staying Out

Anthem’s Ed Nordholm recently released emails, logs and excerpts which showed the detailed conversations and events of what transpired between The Hardys and Anthem Sports. These emails also showed that WWE was not interested in the “broken” gimmick. WWE’s stance at least for right now is that they just do not want to get involved from a legal standpoint.
WWE is also in the position that they want to avoid certain things to happen: First, paying another company for a trademark for their talent to use, and Second, aiding a talent to secure rights to something they created while under contract to their previous employer as that would might put them at risk when one of their current wrestlers tries the same thing in the future if they happen to leave the WWE.
Sources do indicate though that WWE is just waiting to see how things play out. They do have plans to use the trademark/gimmick because if they didn’t they would have put an immediate stop to the Hardys teasing the characters.
