Meghan and Harry Broke Their Baby News to the Family at Princess Eugenie’s Wedding

From the outside looking in, Princess Eugenie’s romantic wedding over the weekend was all about Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank. Not exactly shocking.

From the inside though, things were more complicated. Eugenie’s cousin Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly took advantage of the family gathering to announce that they’re expecting a baby. Fingers crossed that Eugenie knew ahead of time, because that’s a spotlight that was shared.

The Telegraph reports that Harry and Meghan told Queen Elizabeth and other members of the family about Markle’s pregnancy for the first time on Friday, just days before telling the world. E! adds that Kate Middleton, Prince Charles, Prince Philip, Prince William, and Camilla Parker-Bowles were also told in person at Windsor Castle.

The new baby will shake up the line of succession to the throne and will arguably impact Prince Andrew, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie the most.

Baby Sussex will become seventh in line to the throne, right behind dad Prince Harry, and this will move Prince Andrew to number eight, Beatrice to nine, and Eugenie to ten.
