LAST YEAR’S DUBLIN senior football finalists Castleknock have a new recruit in Limerick forward Seamus O’Carroll.
The attacker recently rejoined the Limerick senior setup after previously lining out in the 2013 qualifier defeat to Longford.
He hit 1-1 in January’s McGrath Cup final loss to Kerry before bagging 0-2 apiece in Limerick’s opening Division 4 football league games with Wexford and Longford.

O’Carroll has made the switch from his home club Cappagh to Dublin outfit Castleknock. Having recently graduated from the Garda College – who he played for in the Sigerson Cup this year – O’Carroll is now stationed in Dublin.

Castleknock last year reached the Dublin senior final for the first time with Ciaran Kilkenny, an All-Star for the last two years, their marquee name.
They lost out to St Vincent’s, who went on the claim the Leinster title, but their participation in the Dublin senior decider was a remarkable achievement for a club that has not been long in existence.
