Kristin Cavallari thrilled fans love the ‘real’ Jay Cutler

Kristin Cavallari knows she isn’t the breakout star of her hit reality show, “Very Cavallari.”

Following the series’ debut this past summer, the former MTV personality is happy to see the masses embracing her husband, former Bears quarterback Jay Cutler.

“Coming from the football world where people didn’t get his personality, it’s been really nice for me and him [to have fans] appreciate him and see the real side of Jay,” Cavallari, 31, told People. “He’s been having fun with the show. Now that he sees he had a really positive reaction he’s been having a good time with it.”

Cutler, who signed a one-year, $10 million deal with the Dolphins last year, said he was “probably” done with football following the 2017 season and it was not mentioned in any rumors this season.

As for their current dynamic, Cavallari admits that while she and Cutler, 35, have “definitely switched roles,” she “couldn’t do any of this without him.”

“He’s home with the kids, picking up the boys from school and really allowing me to be able to have the time and freedom to do all this. He’s been really supportive,” said the Uncommon James designer.

Parents to sons Camden, 6, and Jaxon, 4, and daughter Saylor, 3, Cavallari said the children like to sneak peeks behind the scenes when filming at home.

“We try to limit the time we shoot at home, and the boys are at school and Saylor takes a three-hour nap every day, but when they are home they love watching the monitors,” Cavallari said.
