FAIRFAX CITY, VA — One of the owners of the four new restaurants participating in Fairfax City’s Summer Restaurant Week is very familiar with the annual dining event.
Three months ago, Bill Hamrock opened Kelly’s Oyster House and Bar down the street from Hamrock’s Restaurant, which has participated in previous restaurant weeks and is doing so again this year. The difference is that this year he has two eateries offering specials as part of the annual event.
“We are an Oyster Bar, Restaurant and Sports Bar,” Hammock said. “An Oyster House is a place for everyone. Casual menu with many choices. A family of five could dine in for under $100.”

As the name might suggest, oysters are Kelly’s specialty. Hamrock boasts that the restaurant has the best selection of oysters in the metro D.C. area, normally offering between 10-12 fresh oysters changing weekly.
