Japanese Wrestling Legend Masa Saito Passes Away at the Age of 76, Shinsuke Nakamura and More React

According to Weekly Pro Wrestling, former WWE Tag Team Champion Masa Saito has passed away at the age of 76. Saito had been suffering from Parkinson’s Disease since 2000.

Masa Saito got his start in the JWA and was part of the pioneering IWE. His work in America as a liaison and trainer forged a path for so many American stars in japan, including Hulk Hogan.

One of the first wrestling matches I ever saw was Fuji/Saito vs The Strongbows…and from that day, I knew I wanted to be a tag team wrestler.
