India To Get $ 43.4 Million To Fight Climate Change, But We Need To Work Hard To Achieve Goals

A UN-backed fund has approved USD 1 billion approved by the Green Climate Fund for a total of 19 new projects to help combat the climate change in developing countries. And out of this USD 1 billion, a total of USD 43.4 million have allotted to India to better the resilience to the climate change, especially faced by people living in coastal areas.

The new project will be supported through the United Nations Development Programme(UNDP), and is an essential step for India in reaching its goals outlined in the Paris Agreement and 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
