I see Roger Federer winning Australian Open again, says Richard Krajicek

In a column for Telegraaf, the former Wimbledon champion commented on this months Australian Open main topics. The Dutch believes that Roger Federer has high chances to triumph again. Federer is actually the man in shape at the Australian Open.

If he stays fit, I see him winning his 21st Grand Slam title in Melbourne, wrote Krajicek. Even if Djokovic is the favourite. Unfortunately, Andy Murray cannot be in the mix again. But these hip issues have been ongoing for a long time and I felt that it could not work.

It was nice that Murray – with competitors like Federer, Djokovic and Nadal – he is still the world No. 1. It suits well to his amazing career. In the meantime, there are some amazing players who are ready to take power. Alexander Zverev already showed what he is able of through his ATP Finals win.

Stefanos Tsitsipas, 20-year-old, is also a man of the future. He is the only one who made it really difficult to Federer this year. During the Hopman Cup in Perth, this funny Greek guy lost two emotional tie-breakers to the Maestro.
