I don't fear Serena Williams, says Petra Kvitova

In an interview to the CNN, the two-time Wimbledon champion commented on her rivalry with . The Czech doesnt feel intimidated when she heads into the court to face the 23-time Grand Slam winner.

To be honest, I dont fear her, Kvitova said ahead of the Australian Open. I played her in Cincinnati, she played great tennis, it was an amazing match. But, on the other hand, of course, its still Serena.

Shes a great champion and when you face her, you always need to be prepared for a really tough one. I think if she is still there, she is going to win more Grand Slams. On how Serena is trying to deal with expectations after motherhood – the American lost both Grand Slam finals she competed in at the 2018 Wimbledon and US Open – Kvitova added: I can see it a little from my perspective, that she came back, and she wanted to win a Grand Slam, and she was pretty close twice.

Maybe she put a lot of pressure on herself as well, as we saw at the US Open, with all the emotions. I think its everything in the mind. Its tough to come back and play like before, like you didnt have time off.
