Gisele Bündchen is well aware retirement talk with husband Tom Brady appears to go in one ear and out the other.
During an appearance Wednesday on “Ellen,” the Brazilian-born model told host Ellen DeGeneres why she’s failed to convince the Patriots quarterback to throw in the towel.
“I’m a [New Orleans] Saints fan and that would help me tremendously,” DeGeneres, 60, joked.

When it comes to his retirement date, it looks like…
“I think you should talk with him about that,” Bündchen, 38, replied. “I haven’t been very successful. I want him to do whatever makes him happy, but maybe if you have a conversation with him — explain that you love the Saints.”
It’s possible New Orleans (11-2) could contend with New England (9-4) for this year’s Super Bowl title, despite the Patriots’ last-minute blunder against the Dolphins over the weekend.
Bündchen has expressed concussion concerns for her 41-year-old husband in the past, but Brady has stated that he wants to play into his mid-40s. Bündchen even recruited former NFL kicker Jay Feely on a vacation to try and convince Brady to retire, but to no avail.
“I definitely wouldn’t want to have his job … it’s definitely something that you get concerned [about]. He loves it so much, and you got to let him do what he loves,” she said.
Over the summer, Brady revealed he thinks “about it [retirement] more now than I used to,” before adding, “I think I’m seeing that there’s definitely an end coming sooner rather than later.”
