Four Lady Cops Deployed At Ram Janmabhoomi Site Suspended Over Viral Dance Video On Bhojpuri Song
A dance video of four female police constables deployed as part of security at the Ram Janmabhoomi site in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya city has landed them in trouble.

Cops were dancing to Bhojpuri song
The lady cops were suspended after a video purportedly showing them dancing to a Bhojpuri song surfaced online earlier this week, PTI reported.
The suspension was ordered by Ayodhya’s senior superintendent of police Muniraj G.

In the video, one of them can be seen dancing to a Bhojpuri song, ‘Patli Kamariya Mori’, while the other two appear encouraging her with their gestures.
Lady cops were not in uniforms
The four constables were identified as Kativa Patel, Kamini Khushwaha, Kashish Sahani and Sandhya Singh. Moreover, the three featured in the dance video were not in police uniforms.
The SSP sent the four constables posted at the site to the district police lines and handed the probe to additional SP (security) Pankaj Pandey.
Pandey submitted the report on Thursday, holding all four women constables responsible for violating service norms.
Controversy over dance in MP temple
In October this year, a social media user from Madhya Pradesh sparked controversy by shooting a dance video inside a temple in the Chhatarpur district.
An avid Instagram user, Neha shot the ‘reel’ (short video) on the temple steps to the hit Bollywood song ‘Munni Badnam Hui.’
She uploaded the video on October 1 and later deleted it when a few Bajrang Dal members objected. Apart from deleting the viral video, she also uploaded videos to apologise to her followers for hurting their sentiments.

Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra had said that an FIR would be filed against the woman for shooting the video inside the temple premises.
“The way Neha dressed and shot the video was objectionable. I objected to such incidents earlier and said FIRs would be registered in such cases. Despite the warning, she did this,” Mishra said.
