Federer's comeback was greater than Djokovic's: Patrick Mouratoglou

and both returned in a fascinating way at the highest tennis level after respectively dealing with knee and elbow injuries. In 2017, the Swiss won two Major, the Australian Open and Wimbledon, while the Serb won the 2018 Wimbledon and US Open coming back to the top ranking spot in November.

I think that both comebacks are impressive but I believe that Rogers is bigger, said in an exclusive chat with Tennis World USA. Novak never lost his tennis.

He was at the top of the game before loosing his focus and motivation. He was in a bad place mentally and wasnt himself anymore during the matches with the consequence that he wasnt competing well, but his game never really went down.

His comeback is a great achievement, but in a way, not so surprising. Roger, was not at the top of his game, then got a bad injury and stayed away from the court for a long time. When he came back, he was playing much better than before his injury and was able to do things on the tennis court that were new.

He came back winning two Grand Slams but more than that, beating Rafa several times in a row including in the Australian Open final. He came back finding the solution to the problems that Rafa had been causing him all his career.

Djokovic and Federer are currently training in Melbourne to deliver their best tennis at the Australian Open. ALSO READ: Rafael Nadal: Worse players than David Ferrer won a Grand Slam title
