What used to be one of the biggest days of the year for wrestling is now dark today in the U.S., although there are probably 50 to 100 shows in Mexico today, probably two dozen in the Mexico City metropolitan area alone including an iPPV show. WWE goes back to a full-time schedule tomorrow. New Japan will not be airing on AXS today as they are taking some time off.

The Cauliflower Alley Club announced today that Trish Stratus would be getting the Iron Mike Mazurki award at their banquet this year. That’s the highest honor they have for a wrestler and it would be the first time a woman has ever been given that ward. The reunion will take place in April in Las Vegas. Jerry Lawler will be inducting Lance Russell at the same banquet.
Ric Flair will be working tomorrow’s Madison Square Garden show, in his daughter’s corner for a match with Paige.
