Dad Pleads With Long Island Community To Help Bring Missing Daughter Back For Christmas

LONG ISLAND, NY — The father of a Long Island teenager who on Monday night will be missing two weeks, in a case that has been highlighted across the U.S., pleaded with the community on social media to share her photo in hopes it will bring her back for Christmas.

“Fourteen days and my baby still missing,” Frank Gervasi wrote on Facebook on Monday morning. “Please repost and help bring Emmarae home for Christmas. Any info, call 911 immediately.”

His daughter, Emma, 14, left the family’s home in Patchogue with no coat and got into an unknown car on Dec. 9.

“I want Emma to know that I love her and she can come home,” he said. ” We are all here for her. I will never stop looking for her if it’s the last thing I do. I will find her and whoever has her.”

Gervasi says he believes someone has his daughter because it is unlike her to stay away from home so long.

“Who ever harms my baby will pay the price,” he said.

He shared a photo of Emma smiling, saying that it was taken at dinner the night before she went missing.

“My beautiful little girl has the best smile,” he said.

A Suffolk police spokeswoman on Friday said the 5th Squad of detectives in Patchogue are continuing to investigate her disappearance, and”all leads will be followed up on.”

Emma’s case was first highlighted on the website of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

A Suffolk police spokesman said Gervasi’s profile was added to the center’s site as a matter of routine.

A $15,000 reward is being offered for her safe return.

Frank Gervasi is asking anyone with information about her whereabouts to call, 631-294-0265.
