Concord Places 2nd, Salem 3rd At 2024 Blue Devil Classic Wrestling Tournament

CONCORD, NH — Sixteen schools from around New England competed at the annual Salem Blue Devil Classic Saturday at Salem High School.

Shawsheen Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School placed first in the competition with Concord High School coming in second and Salem placing third. Pinkerton Academy came in fourth. Blue Devils came in 12th and North Andover 13th. Bow placed 14th, Windham came in 15th, and Nashua South High School placed 16th.

Junior varsity and freshman wrestlers from Concord, Goffstown, and Winnisquam competed in Tiny’s JV Rumble on Concord High School on Saturday. Individual wrestlers from Bow, Monadnock, Merrimack, Milford, and Plymouth also competed.

Concord placed first with 24 points with Winnisquam at 18 and Goffstown at 17.5.

First Tom Sawyer Invitational

Souhegan High School hosted the 1st Annual Tom Sawyer Invitational on Friday.

Eighteen schools competed during the bouts.

Milford High School placed second while the Sabers placed fourth. Portsmouth came in sixth, Nashua North placed seventh, Winnacunnet came in eighth, and Manchester West and Manchester Memorial came in ninth and 10th. Manchester Central came in 14th.
