Christmas Day Chimney Fire Sparks In Bridgewater
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A chimney fire on Christmas Day drew police and volunteer firefighters to a house in Bridgewater.

On Dec. 25 at 9:12 p.m., an Emerald Trail resident reported his chimney had caught fire.
A Bridgewater Police Officer saw fire emanating from the chimney when he got to the home but it stopped before firefighters arrived, according to the police report.

“This is the fourth response of the day for our volunteers today. Please stay safe and Merry Christmas!” said the Martinsville Volunteer Fire Department on Dec. 25.
Firefighters investigated and determined the fire was contained with no property damage reported.

The fireplace was extinguished for the night.
