Bobby Brandolino, 51, Gets Judge's OK To Work At His Music Store

SHOREWOOD — Through the efforts of prominent Will County criminal defense lawyer, George Lenard, Shorewood felony domestic violence defendant Bobby Brandolino has regained his freedom after spending a couple days housed in the Will County Jail, and now Brandolino can return to his long-time Shorewood music store, Brandolino’s Encore Music Center, 700 W. Jefferson St.

On Thursday, Will County’s judges signed off on Lenard’s amended petition for electronic monitoring. The document indicates that Brandolino must stay away from his family’s home in the 400 block of Garden Terrace in Shorewood where Shorewood police responded and had him arrested during the last week of October.

In Tuesday’s emergency motion on behalf of his client, Lenard informed Will County’s judges that he wanted Brandolino’s electronic monitoring amended to allow Brandolino’s business to be added as an exception to the conditions of his GPS monitoring.

“The defendant is charged with aggravated domestic battery and other offenses,” Lenard’s filing pointed out. “The defendant was granted pretrial release with certain conditions to apply to his release from custody.”

The 51-year-old Brandolino is accused of pistol-whipping a woman inside his home on the night of Oct. 29 after getting into an argument with her about the dining room being messy, according to court documents.

The woman needed four staples to close the open wound to the back of her head; and the gun Brandolino used to smack her was loaded with bullets, according to Will County prosecutors.

Brandolino also threatened to kill a 16-year-old teenager who was inside the home when the argument and physical violence erupted, according to court files.

Last week, Will County’s State’s Attorney’s Office tried to keep Brandolino in the Will County Jail, but Lenard prevailed during the SAFE-T-Act hearing on the topic of pretrial release.

Brandolino must stay 3,000 feet away from his home on Garden Terrace unless he is at his music store business in Shorewood, the judge’s amended order for electronic monitoring noted.

According to prosecutors, the Shorewood Police Department recovered 15 guns from Bobby Brandolino’s house on Garden Terrace, ranging from handguns to rifles and shotguns following the Oct. 29 arrest. Shorewood police also recovered a tactical knife and a tactical axe from Bobby Brandolino’s home, court records show.
