Australian Open – Schedule: Djokovic-Shapovalov, Williams-Yastremska

For the first time in his career Novak Djokovic and Denis Shapovalov will face off. The Canadian player is getting used to compete on the biggest stages, and competing on the Rod Laver Arena on Saturday will definitely be a big experience for him.

The Serb had a perfect run in Melbourne so far, he comes from his straight-set win over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. The seven-time tournament champion Serena Williams faces Dayana Yamstremska. In the night session, Alexander Zverev, who survived a tough battle against Jeremy Chardy, plays against Alex Bolt, followed by Camila Giorgi against Karolina Pliskova.

On the supports he gets from Serbian people in Melbourne, Djokovic said: Im really glad to meet people from my country, absolutely. Anywhere I go, I try to embrace the fact that there might be a community, regardless of how big or small.

I try to meet with some people and exchange words or whatever it is, invite them to come and watch me play. Whatever that is, its nice. I guess it nurtures the culture and tradition. Me as one of the athletes from our country that is internationally successful, I feel there is also a responsibility to represent the country in a right way.
