Pretty much every year when we come back here theres changes and improvements that are made, but this is really, really significant. Huge locker rooms, better recovery facilities, the dining facilities are really, really good and it will be much more comfortable for the players.

The Australian Open Tournament Director said: It is a special time for us. We welcome 550 players over the course of the next three weeks, many of which are here already. The comments that weve heard from them directly and indirectly make us particularly proud.

The Briton, a three-time Major champion, has lost the Australian Open final on five different occasions, losing four finals to Novak Djkovovic, in 2011, 2013, and 2015-16. He reached the Australian Open final for the first time in his career in 2010, losing to Roger Federer.
