Goal brings you everything you need to know about the latest football docuseries, which focuses on one of England’s biggest clubs
Football documentaries have found an appreciative audience in recent years and Leeds United are the latest club to open their doors to the camera crew.
Following Manchester City’s fascinating ‘All or Nothing’ and the Netflix success of ‘Sunderland ‘Til I Die’, the Yorkshire club have teamed up with Amazon to produce a series documenting life at Elland Road.
While fans of the Whites will naturally be the most interested given the subject matter, football fans of all allegiances will no doubt be intrigued by the prospect of seeing how things work at a big club.

Goal takes a look at what it’s about, how to watch it and more.
What is ‘Take Us Home’?
‘Take Us Home’ is a sports documentary which follows the fortunes of English Championship team Leeds United during the 2018-19 season.
It is a six-part docuseries providing a behind-the-scenes look at what happened during the campaign, as well as sit-down interviews with head coach Marcelo Bielsa, Leeds players and, of course, the fans.
As most football fans will remember, there was plenty of drama for Leeds that year. From ‘Spygate’ and Bielsa’s famous Powerpoint presentation to play-off heartbreak, it was an extremely entertaining, albeit tense, season.
“This is a story,” says narrator and Leeds fan Russell Crowe in the trailer, “that plays out in one of the most extraordinary seasons in this remarkable club’s history.”

The programme was produced by Eleven Studios and Leeds-based media company The City Talking for Amazon.
Leeds chairman Andrea Radrizzani said that the club was “proud” to partner with Amazon Prime Video on the production of the documentary.
“Last season, with Marcelo at the helm, we made huge strides in putting Leeds United back on the map and reconnecting the club with our local community and wider fanbase,” said Radrizzani.
“We are delighted to be able to share a unique, behind-the-scenes perspective on the ups and downs, the emotion and the intimate moments that make this club so special.”
When was ‘Take Us Home’ released?
‘Take Us Home’ was released on August 16, 2019 worldwide.
The documentary’s launch coincides with the beginning of the 2019-20 English football season as Leeds attempt to earn promotion to the Premier League.
How can I watch ‘Take Us Home’?
‘Take Us Home’ can be streamed exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. Prime Video is a subscription service and new users can sign up here.
In the UK, subscribers can avail of a 30-day free trial and it costs £7.99 a month after that. In the US, Prime Video is priced at $12.99 a month.
Users are free to cancel their subscription at any time.
Due to the exclusive partnership between Leeds and Amazon, Take Us Home will not be available to watch on Netflix.
Do Amazon have other football documentaries?
Amazon have an abundance of sports documentaries on their Prime Video service and there are a number of football-focused productions.
‘All or Nothing: Manchester City‘ is part of a wider ‘All or Nothing’ series, which also went behind the scenes with teams such as the Dallas Cowboys and the New Zealand All Blacks.
Liverpool hero Steven Gerrard was the subject of ‘Make Us Dream’ and Real Madrid stalwart Sergio Ramos has also been given the treatment with a documentary which is due out in September.
As well as the Leeds United documentary ‘Take Us Home’, August 2019 will also see Amazon feature the documentaries ‘This is Football’ and ‘Inside Borussia Dortmund‘.
There is also live Premier League football available to watch on Amazon in the UK after they secured a three-year broadcast deal.
