AEW Signs E-Sports Commentator Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez

It appears that AEW might be stocking up on announcers.

Alex Marvez, who has been one of the three lead commentators since Double or Nothing, sent a “welcome to the team” message to e-sports host Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez earlier today. It was also reported by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that he has come onboard with the promotion.

Goldenboy was on the commentary desk during AEW’s Fyter Fest event in Daytona Beach, which was in conjunction with CEO Gaming, and was praised highly for his work at the time. There has been no official announcement from AEW itself at this point.
