Defiant Wrestling: Lights Out Preview, Major Star Pulls Out Of Show, Full Match Card

Tonight Defiant Wrestling will be putting on its latest special event, Lights Out, in Leeds, England, which features many of the UK’s top independent wrestlers, as well as Ring Of Honor’s Christopher Daniels.

Unfortunately, one name who won’t be appearing is Defiant Wrestling Internet Champion, Travis Banks. The Kiwi Buzzsaw recently suffered an ankle injury and Defiant have announced that he hasn’t recovered in time to compete this evening.

Instead of the planned triple threat title match, the bout has now become a number one contender’s single match between WALTER and David Starr, who was set to be in the triple threat with Banks.

Below is the full match card of the show:

-Grado vs Drake (Street Fight)

-Amir Jordan vs Chris Brookes

-WALTER vs David Starr (No. 1 Contenders Match For The Internet Title)

-Martin Kirby vs No Fun Dunne (Magnificent Seven Qualifier)

-Sammi Jayne vs Millie McKenzie (c) vs Kay Lee Ray (Women’s Championship Match)

-Jimmy HavocĀ & Mark Haskins vs Aussie Open (c) vs BT Gunn & Joe Coffey (Tag Team Championship Match)

-Joe Hendry vs Prince Ameen vs Gabriel Kidd vs Rampage vs El Ligero vs ??? vs Christopher Daniels (Magnificent Seven Match)

Defiant have put on a stacked card which centers around the Magnificent Seven main event, where the winner earns a briefcase that works in the same way as WWE’s Money in the Bank, having a title shot whenever they want it.

Tickets for the show are still available, so if you’re interested in attending you can find those, here. For those unable to watch the show live, Lights Out will be available 24 hours later on Access Defiant or Fite TV.
